Procedure to Update HTC Sensation with ICS 3.32.401.5 OTA Firmware:
- First up you need to Download the 3.32.401.5 OTA file from HTC’S OFFICIAL website. Note that you are not RENAMING the file in any manner. Now, connect your device with the computer and Copy the file to the root of your SD card. Ensure that you are not placing the file deep into the folders.
- Now, press the Volume Down button and press the Power button. If the HBOOT menu doesn’t appear then you need to turn off fast boot in the Settings > Power menu.
- In the recovery mode, select “Recovery” option from the recovery mode menu to enter the stock Recovery. If the Clock Work mod recovery boots up, then select and flash the 1.50.401.1 RUU.
- Now, once the screen gets on the Red color then press the Volume Up and Press the power button. It will say “can’t open cache/recovery/command” and then bring up the recovery menu and then select the option of “apply update from SD Card” to select the OTA Zip file which you placed in the device.
- It will take around 5 – 6 minutes for applying this update. Once it’s done, you now need to wait for the update process to get completed.
Note: If your HTC Sensation enters in the boot loop mode or doesn’t proceed after HTC Logo, press the power button for 5 seconds to completely turn off the device and then re follow all the instructions mentioned in this article.
