Procedure to Update HTC Wildfire S with Cyanogen Mod 9 firmware:
- Download Cyanogen mod 9 for HTC Wildfire S Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your HTC Wildfire S to your computer with the help of original USB cable and place the downloaded zip file in your device’s internal memory.
- Disconnect the device and turn off the same to get into the recovery mode. You can enter your HTC Wildfire S device in the recovery mode by pressing the Volume Down key and Powering ON the phone. If the device boots up in the recovery mode, then you will have to re follow this step to enter your device in the recovery mode.
- In recovery mode, select install zip from SD Card” > “Choose zip from SD Card” and then select the Zip file of Cyanogen mod 9 firmware which you have placed in the phone in the first step.
- So after updating both the zip files, you now need to select the option of +++Go back+++” and select “Reboot System Now” option which will restart the phone. It will take around 5- 6 minutes for applying this update.
Note: If your HTC Wildfire S smartphone enters in the boot loop mode or doesn’t proceed after HTC Logo, press the power button for 5 seconds to completely turn off the device and then re follow all the instructions mentioned in this article.
