Procedure to Update HTC Wildfire S with Wildchild Custom ROM Firmware:
- Download Wildchild Custom ROM Firmware Package from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your HTC Wildfire S with the computer using the original USB cable and place this zip file in your device. Ensure that you are not placing the file deep into the device.
- As soon as the file is placed in your htc WildFire S, disconnect the device and turn off the same so that it can be entered in the recovery mode via the boot loader mode.
- The Boot loader mode in HTC Wildfire S can be entered by pressing Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. If the phone boots in the normal mode then try to enter into the boot loader mode again with the help of above mentioned method. Just in case if the ROM Manager is installed, you can enter by selecting the option of “Reboot into Recovery mode” in the ROM Manager app.
- Now, in the recovery mode, you need to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the Wildchild Custom ROM Firmware Package which you placed in the device. After selecting the zip package, it will take around 4 – 5 minutes for applying this update.
- Once it’s updated, the device will be landing back in the recovery mode. Select “Go Back” and “reboot system now” for rebooting the device in the normal mode. To check on whether the device is updated with this update or not from the path “Settings > About Phone”
Note: Just in a rare case if your HTC Wildfire S device refuses to turn ON or say if it gets stuck on the HTC Logo then you need to long press the power button to turn off the same or re insert the battery to start the process from the start.
