Procedure to Update Huawei media Pad with ICS Android 4.0.3 Firmware:
Manual Method:
- Download the Huawei media Pad ICS 4.0.3 Firmware Package (Alternate Link) from here to your computer and unzip the same. Now, after extracting, you need to copy the “dload” folder in your computer and place the same by connecting your device to the computer with the help of USB cable.
- Ensure that you are not placing the file deep into the sub folders in your device’s SD Card or else it won’t be detected in the further procedure.
- Turn off the tablet so that it can then be entered in the recovery mode. To enter the Huawei Media Pad in the recovery mode, you need to press and hold the Volume + Key and then press the power Key for 2 seconds to boot he same. Note that just in case if the device boots up in the normal mode then you need to re try entering the device in the recovery mode.
- Now, you will see that the device will show up a green robot on the screen and then the update process will be started.
- As soon as the Update is processed successfully, you will get to see the message as shown below.
- Just in a rare case if the device fails to apply this ICS update then you will get to see the message as shown below,
Now, once the update is over, you need to remove the SD Card and press the Power key until the tablet gets restarted. Just in a rare case if the device doesn’t get updated successfully, you will then need to apply the automatic method to update your Huawei Media Pad.
Automatic Method:
- First up you need to Copy dload folder(with “unlmt.cfg”) to SD card root directory and then disconnect the same from the computer and turn off the device.
- Reboot the tablet to follow the steps same as that of the manual upgrade method.
Note: At any point of time just in case if the process of firmware update gets stopped due to any reason, all you need to do is restart the process from the start.
