Procedure to Update LG Nexus 4 with Paranoid Android Custom ROM Firmware:
- Download the Paranoid Android Custom ROM Firmware Package, Google Apps and FIX from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place all the zip files in your device and disconnect the device once copied.
- Once placed, disconnect the device from computer and download the ROM Manager app from the PLAY Store and select “enter device into recovery mode”.
- Now, in recovery mode select “Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition”. Also, select “advanced” and clear the Dalvik cache so that all the cache data is wiped off. Now, in recovery mode, you will now need to select “install zip from sd card” and then choose the zip package which you have placed in your device which is Paranoid Android Custom ROM Firmware Package, Google Apps and FIX in the same order as mentioned.
- Once the file is selected, you will need to select “go back” and choose “reboot system now” for rebooting the device in the normal mode. Please note that it may take more time than expected for rebooting the device in the normal mode as this is the first reboot after firmware application.
- You can check whether the firmware is updated or not from the path “Settings > About Phone” where the firmware details will be mentioned as Paranoid Android custom ROM firmware. Just in case if the firmware is not updated, you will need to retry the process of applying this update.
Note: Just in a rare case if the device doesn’t boot up or show the home screen then remove the then battery and reinsert the same to boot the device again in the normal mode.
