How to Update LG Optimus One P500 with ICS 4.0.4 Cyanogen Mod 9 Firmware

Procedure to Update LG Optimus One P500 with ICS Android 4.0.4 Firmware:

  • Download the ICS Firmware Package + Google Apps from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your phone to the computer and place these both zip files in your device’s internal memory.
  • Disconnect the device and turn off so that it can be then entered in the recovery mode. Press Volume Down + Home Button + Power button to enter the device in the recovery mode. If the device boots up in the normal mode then you need to try again to enter the device in the recovery mode.
  • In the recovery mode, you may choose an option to select Full Wipe except the sd card and also you can make a NANDROID Backup of the data.
  • Flash the Firmware zip file along with the Google Apps and then choose the option of “reboot system now”.
  • Once the device is booted up successfully, you then will have to download and install the apps like LINK2SD and select “ext3” and reboot. After rebooting open the app and select “Autolink” from preferences to enjoy the device.

Note:  Just in case if the device booted up or gets into the boot loop mode then you need to re follow the above mentioned steps with the help of above mentioned instructions.
