How to Update Motorola Atrix 4G with 4.5.91 Factory Firmware

SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore

Procedure to Update Motorola Atrix 4G with Stock 4.5.91 Firmware:

  • First up you need to Download the System Image of Motorola Atrix 4G device in your computer along with the Motorola Fast boot Zip package from here to your computer.
  • Now, ensure that the device is left with the minimum charge of 60% so as to ensure that device is left with the minimum battery charge of 60% so as to ensure that the pone doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of firmware update. Also, after this enable the USB Debugging Mode in your phone path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging” after which you need to tick on the USB Debugging option as shown in the below screen capture.

  • Now, turn off your Atrix 4G device and boot the phone in the fast boot mode which you can do by Pressing Volume Down Button and holding this you need to Power ON the device.
  • Once the device gets in the fast boot mode, you need to connect to the computer with the help of original USB cable which you got at the time of purchase.
  • After connecting, open the command prompt and enter the below mentioned command one by one,

moto-fastboot flash boot boot.img

moto-fastboot flash system system.img

moto-fastboot –w

moto-fastboot reboot

To check whether your Motorola Atrix is on the 4.5.91 firmware or not, the same can be checked from the path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” where it should show the current firmware is 4.5.91 firmware. If there is any other version being shown then you need to apply the firmware so as to root the same.
