Then here’s a great news for all you guys as in the due course of this article we will check out on how you can easily apply the latest update for your device with a working 2G / 3G connection. There were reports that applying updates un officially will disable the 2G / 3G Services from T Mobile, but gone are the days when you need to listen to your service provider as you have paid the money to use the phone the way you want it.
Note: Please note that since this update is having the T Mobile’s SBF it will update the boot loader, so you will not be able to downgrade to the current version of firmware.

Pre Requisites:
- Download Appropriate SBF File as per your Mobile Provider so that the same can be used in the due course of this article,
- Download the below mentioned tools in your computer:
T Mobile 03.90.7 BLUR firmware sbf file,
RSD Lite 4.6,
Motorola Android Depack (Requires .net 3.5),
Super One Click Rooting Application,
Root Explorer
In the process of firmware update, the data in your device needs to be backed up which you can do by following the below mentioned tips.
Text messages – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Phone Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Pictures, Music, Videos, Files etc.– Copy to internal / External SD Card,
Internet & MMS Settings – Backup all the settings from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”

Procedure to Update Motorola Charm with the latest Firmware:
For your convenience, we have broken this article into different sections so as to facilitate the smoother firmware update.
Step 1: Backup Critical Current Firmware data
So before you proceed to perform this step, you need to ensure that the Motorola Charm is rooted and then you need to download & install Root explorer.
After this, open the Root explorer and then backup the folder in your computer which is in the path “etc\motorola\bp_nvm_default”
Step 2: Extraction of BP File from SBF which will work with your 2G / 3G Network
Now, you need to extract or open the “Motorola Depacker” and Browse the SBF File which you have downloaded in your computer.
After this, select “Split to Folder” which will generate the folder with the same name as that of sbf file.
Now, you need to remove the split files except the one which is named as “CG45.smg” (BP Firmware file).
