Procedure to Update Motorola Photon 4G with Latest Cyanogen Mod 10 Firmware Update:
- Download the CM 10 Firmware update Package, Google Apps Package, Super user package and Recovery Zip from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your device to the computer using the original USB cable and then place all the zip files in your device.
- Up next disconnect the device and turn off the same so that it can be entered in the recovery mode. You can enter Motorola Photon 4G in the recovery mode by opening the ROM Manager app in your device and enter the phone in the recovery mode. If the app is not there, the same can be downloaded from the Google PLAY Store.
- Open the ROM Manager app in your phone and select the option of “Reboot into Clock Work mod recovery” after flashing the Clock Work Mod recovery image in your device.
- In recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” and then choose the CM 10 Firmware update Package, Google Apps Package, Super user package and Recovery Zip in the same manner which you have placed in your device. It will take around 4 -5 minutes for applying the update. Please don’t interrupt the process of firmware update as it may even brick the device.
Note: If at all your Motorola Photon 4G phone gets in the boot loop sequence then you need to turn off the device and then reapply the update from the start. To turn off you can reinsert the battery or say you can long press the power button.
