How to Manual Update NEXUS 4 with Jellybean 4.3 Android Firmware – Guide

Procedure to Update NEXUS 4 with Official Jellybean 4.3 Firmware:

  • Now, disconnect the device and download the “ROM Manager” app from the PLAY Store and enter your phone in the Recovery mode. In recovery mode select “Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition”. Also, select “advanced” and clear the Dalvik cache so that all the cache data is wiped off from your device.
  • Select “install zip from sd card” and then choose the Jellybean 4.3 Package which you have placed in your phone. Once selected, you need to press the Power button to confirm the same.
  • It will take around 3 -4 minutes for applying the update and once the update is applied, the device will land back to the Recovery mode screen. In recovery screen, you will have to select “reboot system now” for rebooting the device in the normal mode.

Note: Just in a rare case if the device doesn’t boot up or show the home screen then long press on the Power button to turn Off the device and  boot the device again in the normal mode.
