Procedure to update Samsung Galaxy FIT S5670 with Gingerbread 2.3.4 ZCKP7:
- Before you proceed for following the instructions to update the phone, you will first have to download the Galaxy FIT Gingerbread 2.3.4 Package which contains all the necessary files which we will be requiring in the due course of this article for updating the Galaxy FIT.
- Once you download the zip file and proceed to unzip the same, you will be prompted to enter the password, enter the password as “androidadvices.com” without the inverted comas. Once you enter the password, you will see that there are 3 files which are mentioned above. The extracted files will exactly look like the image as shown below. Any other password apart from the mentioned one won’t work, so ensure that you are entering the correct password to unzip the files successfully.
- Upon extracting the zip file, you will be getting the three files which are the OPS file, the Odin multi downloader and then followed by the tar file which is nothing but the firmware file which we will see in the due course of the article on how you can make use of the same to flash.
- Just in case if you don’t find these three files even after unzipping then that means that you again will have to download the zip file in your computer. After this you will have to turn Off the phone so that you can enter your device into the download mode. Please note that you need to now open the file named “S5670_Odin Multi Downloader v4.38” file which is the Odin flash tool.
- Now, opening this you need to enter your phone in the download mode, the download mode in your Galaxy FIT can be entered by holding the Volume Down button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, you need to switch ON your device. Now, if you have successfully entered into the download mode then you will see a green screen which is shown below. Please note that if the device boots in the normal mode with the home screen then retry the process and if despite retrying you are unable to get into download mode then you will have to fix the download mode error for your phone which can only be done in the Service centre of Samsung Electronics. You can also refer to a short video which is shown below on how you can easily enter the download mode in your Samsung Galaxy Fit.
- Now, once you get into the download mode, you need to now connect your phone with the computer in the download mode ON and Odin opened in your computer with the help of the USB cable to the computer.
- As soon as you connect the phone, you will see that the ID : COM box which is there in the Odin will turn Yellow as you can see in the below image and also in the message box you will see that the “Added” will be shown which means that all the drivers which are required for the updation process have been successfully update.
- Now, up next, you need to click on the “OPS” option from the Odin and then choose the below mentioned file after that, tick on the “One Package” option in the Odin which will be there in the left hand side and then you will see that all the options will be disabled except the One Package which is located in the bottom part of the Odin will be enabled and then click on the same to select the file named as “S5670ZCKP7-S5670ZCKP7-S5670OZHKP7_HOME”.
OPS – BENI_v1.0.ops
One Package – S5670ZCKP7-S5670ZCKP7-S5670OZHKP7_HOME.TAR
NOTE : Tick all the options in the “Option” Field that are “One package”, “Auto Reboot” and “Protect OPS”
- Now, once you check with all the settings as mentioned above in terms of the options and with the file selections you now need to click on the “Start” to start the process of firmware update. Please note that as soon as you click on the Start tab it will take 5 – 10 minutes to complete the firmware update process and its highly requested on not to interrupt the process as this may brick your phone permanently. Once the updation process is completed, the device will be restarting on its own and you will see that you will then be asked to select the language preferences.
