Procedure to Update Samsung Galaxy S GT I9000 with Amestris 7.1 Version:
- Download Amestris 7.1 Firmware Package from here to your computer after which you need to connect the phone to the computer so that you can copy the downloaded zip file to your phone.
- After this, you need to remove the connected USB cable and turn Off the phone to enter the phone in the recovery mode. The recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. You can also refer to the below mentioned video to know more on how to enter into the recovery mode.
- Now, in the recovery mode you will have to select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” to select “placed Amestris Zip file in your phone” after which you will see that it will take around 15 – 20 minutes for applying this update.
- Once the device is updated, you will be again landing back to the recovery mode screen. In recovery mode screen, select “++++ Go Back ++++” and then choose “reboot system now” for rebooting the device in the Amestris ROM.
- To check on whether the firmware has updated successfully or not, you can check the same from the path Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version where it will show that you are on the AMESTRIS ROM. If you find any other firmware version then you need to reapply the firmware.
