Tutorial to Update Galaxy S2 GT I9100 with Android 4.0.3 XXLPH Firmware:
- Download XXLPH Android 4.0.3 Firmware Package from here to your computer. Once you have downloaded, you need to extract the downloaded zip file.
Once all the files are extracted, match all the files with the below shown screen capture so as to ensure that no file is missing. Please note that even if single file is missing then you need to check with downloading or extraction process. The total size of downloaded file is 352 MB.
- Enable the USB Debugging Mode in your device from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging” and tick the option. After this, turn Off the phone so as to get the phone into the download mode.
- Open the Odin executable file in your computer and turn Off your phone so as to enter the phone in the download Mode. Download mode in Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 can be entered by pressing Volume down Key, Center button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button after which a green robot will be shown indicating the Download Mode has been entered.
- As soon as the download mode is entered, you need to connect your phone to the computer using the USB cable while keeping the Odin opened in your computer.
- After a minute, you will see that the ID:COM section in odin will turn yellow indicating all drivers have been installed successfully and you are ready to proceed to the next step.
Danger: If the phone refuses to get into the Download Mode despite repeated attempts then you should not proceed to the next step.
- Click on the below mentioned respective tabs and select the corresponding files as shown in the below list and screen capture. Also, match all the options selected as per the screen captures shown.

- Once you have selected all the files as shown in the Odin you need to click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. As soon as the firmware update process is done, the device will be rebooting and there you are on the new firmware of XXLPH Android 4.0.3 firmware.
- Once you are on the home screen, remove the connected USB cable and turn Off the phone so as to enter the device in the recovery mode.
- The recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume Up Key, Center button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. In recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now option. If the device boots normally then again you need to try the same to enter into the recovery mode.
- You can check whether the firmware has been updated with the latest firmware or not from the path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” where you will find the version of XXLPH Android 4.0.3 firmware. If there is any other version then you need to again apply the firmware update by following the mentioned instructions.
Note: Restore all the data which you have taken the backup before and also ensure that you have also restored the apn settings which are responsible for accessing the internet.
