How To Update Samsung Galaxy mini S5570 with Gingerbread 2.3.5 Firmware

Procedure to update Samsung Galaxy mini S5570 to Gingerbread 2.3.5:

  • Download the Gingerbread 2.3.5 XWKS7 Package from here to your computer and extract the same. In the process of firmware update, you will be prompted to enter the password, enter the password as “androidadvices.com” without the inverted comas.

  • Once the files are successfully extracted, you need to match the extracted files with the below screen capture. Even if single file is missing then it means either it hasn’t downloaded or extracted properly.
  • Extracted Files mini 2.3.5After this Open the “Odin” executable file in your computer and turn Off your phone so that you can then turn On your phone in the download mode. The download mode can be entered by pressing Volume Down Key, Center button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Refer below video to know more.

  • Now, connect the phone in the downloaded mode to the computer using the USB cable. As soon as you connect, you will see that the ID : COM section will turn yellow. After this, in Odin click on the below mentioned corresponding options and choose the files from the extracted folder.

  • Now, click on “Start” in the Odin to start the process of firmware update. As soon as the firmware update is finished, the phone will be restarted on its own.

 (Optional ) For users facing FORCE CLOSE ERRORS:

  • Just in case if you are getting the force close errors after applying this update, then you will have to turn Off the phone to enter into the recovery mode. In the recovery mode select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now option. You can refer the video mentioned in the last page to know on how to enter recovery mode.

Reminder: Don’t forget to restore back the APN as well as MMS Settings along with other things which you have created the backup of. If you don’t restore the APN Settings then you will not be able to access the Internet in your phone via GPRS / 3G.
