How to Update Samsung Galaxy NOTE with Official DDLB1 Gingerbread 2.3.6 Firmware

Procedure to Update Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 with DDLB1 Firmware:

  • Download DDLB1 Firmware from here along with the Odin in your computer to extract all of them in your computer. After this, you need to open the Odin in your PC and turn Off the device so that it can be entered in the Download Mode.
  • Download mode can be entered by pressing  Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Just in case if the device boots in the normal mode then you will have to again try the process of entering into the download mode.

  • Once the device is entered in the download mode, you now need to connect the device to the computer with the help of USB cable while keeping the Odin opened in your computer.
  • Once connected, the ID : COM section in odin will turn Yellow which will mean that all the drivers have been successfully updated and you are ready to proceed to the next step. Just in case if it refuses to enter into yellow then you need to check with the driver installation process.

  • After this, click on “PDA” to select “N7000DDLB2_N7000ODDLA1_N7000DDLB1_HOME.tar.md5” and then all you need to do is to just click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. Once the firmware is updated successfully, you will see that the firmware update process will be started.

  • Once the device is updated successfully, you need to remove the connected USB cable and turn Off the device so that the device can be entered in the recovery mode.
  • Recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume Up Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. Just in case if the device boots in the normal mode then you will have to again try the process of entering into the recovery mode.

  • In recovery mode, select options Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition after which you need to reboot your device by selecting “reboot system now” after which all the cache files will get deleted.

To ensure that the firmware is applied successfully, you need to check the same from the path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” where you will find the version of DDLB1 Gingerbread 2.3.6 firmware.
