Procedure to apply Gingerbread 2.3.5 XXKPM in Samsung Galaxy SL I9003:
- First up you need to download the XXKPM Gingerbread 2.3.5 Package from here to your desktop so that you can then proceed to unzip the same. In the process of unzipping it will prompt you to enter the password, enter the password as “androidadvices.com”. Once you enter the password all the files will be extracted to the specified folder.
- Please note that you will have to match all the files which you have got after extraction with the one which is mentioned below. If even a single file is missing then you will have to again download the Zip file and extract the same.
- So once the files are extracted, open the Odin flash tool in your computer and then turn Off the phone so that you can then enter the download mode.
- The download mode can be entered by pressing the Volume Down button + the Home key button (the middle button), while holding these both buttons, you need to switch ON your device. Once you enter the download mode you will now have to proceed to connect the phone to the computer, while keeping the Odin opened in the computer with the USB cable which you got at the time of purchase. - As soon as you connect the phone, you will see that the ID : COM block will turn yellow which will mean that all the drivers have been successfully installed. Now, you are ready to proceed with the selection of files in the next step.
- Now, by clicking on the corresponding tabs in the Odin you need to select the files as mentioned below.
PIT – latona_20110114.pit,
PDA – I9003XXKPM_I9003XXKPM_I9003SERKPM_HOME.tar.md5
- Now, as soon as you select the files, double check the same and then click on the “Start” button. As soon as you click on the Start the firmware will be updated and then the device will be restarted.
- Once the phone is restarted you will be asked to enter the Google Account credentials and also the Language settings. Please note that after this you will have to turn Off the phone so that you can clear the cache from the recovery mode. The recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume Up Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button.
- Once you enter into the recovery mode, select the options like Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now option. Please note that you will have to ensure that you don’t select any other options or else there is a high probability that you may end up bricking up the phone.
