Procedure to Update SONY Xperia T with latest 7.0.A.3.195 Firmware version:
- First up you will have to check on whether your phone is rooted or not with the help of a Root Checker application. Just in case if the device is not rooted, with the help of below mentioned steps you will have to root and install the recovery.
- Download the latest 7.0.A.3.195 Firmware package from here to your computer and then place the same in your device
- Now, assuming that your Xperia T smartphone is rooted you will have to download the “ROM Manager” app from the Google PLAY Store.
- Now, head over to the Installation of Kernel Page for your Xperia T where developer has neatly mentioned the steps to install the supporting kernel, with the help of below command you will have to flash the kernel, Ensure that your computer is installed with the ADB.

- Now, open the ROM Manager app and select “reboot into recovery mode” for rebooting the device in the recovery mode.
- In recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset” & “Wipe Cache partition”. If the device starts normally, then you will need to re try the process of entering the device in the recovery mode. In recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” and then select the zip file which you have placed in the device. Once selected, it will take around 4 – 5 minutes for applying the update
- Now, once the firmware is updated, select “go back” and select “reboot system now”. To check on whether the firmware is updated or not, head over to the path “Settings > About Phone” for checking the same.
- If you are having the boot loader locked, you will have to first unlock the boot loader and then you need to apply the above mentioned procedure.
Note: Just in a rare case if the device doesn’t boot up or show the home screen then remove the battery and reinsert the same to boot the device again in the normal mode.
