Procedure to Update Gingerbread 2.3.9 MIUI Custom ROM in Nexus S 4G:
- Download the MIUI Firmware Package from here to your computer. Connect your phone to the computer and copy this downloaded Zip file in your phone, not into any of the sub folders.
- Remove the connected USB cable and turn off the device so as to boot the device in the recovery mode. The recovery mode in the Nexus S 4G can be entered by Pressing the Volume down button and at the same time you need to press the power button to boot the device in the recovery mode.
- Now, select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now with the help of Volume rocker keys. Also, you need to clear the “Wipe Dalvik Cache” from the Advanced Option. With the help of Volume rocker keys, select “++++ Go Back ++++” for going to the main home screen of recovery mode.
- Select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” > and select the “MIUI Firmware Zip package”. Once the zip file is updated successfully, you now need to select “reboot system now” option by selecting “++++ Go Back ++++”.
Note: Just in case if there are any issues, then you will have to again re apply the firmware by following the steps again.
