Indian consumer electronics giants, Videocon unveiled its new flagship smartphone Infinium Graphite at Bengaluru yesterday. Along with its flagship smartphone, Videocon launched array of budget smartphones namely Infinium Z40, Quad, Z40 Pro, Z40 Pro Lite, Infinium Z30, X40, Pro X30, Pro and X30.
The Videocon Infinium Graphite sports a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD LTPS OGS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display has the resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The phone is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with a 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box.
On its camera front, Videocon Infinium Graphite sports an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash. It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The camera app has features such as Face Beautification, Face Detection Panorama and Live Photo Mode.
Videocon Infinium Graphite offers a mere 1800 mAh embedded battery. Various connectivity options have been provided such as 3GHSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. Sensors such as Accelerometer, gyro, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor are present in the tablet. It has 16 GB internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card lot.
The phone comes with a feature called ‘Intelligent Sense.’ It offers features such as ‘Auto Answer’ to answer calls in proximity to ears, ‘Auto Switch Speaker’ feature that automatically switches from Speaker to Earpiece on proximity to ear, ‘Reversal Silence’ feature that silences the device when flipped along with an entire suite of ‘Touch Gesture Awake’ features.
The phone comes with ‘Touch Gesture Awake’ feature which offers you the convenience of gesture shortcuts to interact with your device. While gesturing three pre-defined gestures ‘C’, ‘M’ and ‘O’ on the lock screen takes you directly to the Dial Screen, Music Player and Camera, respectively. You can also set up to four gestures of your own.
The Infinium Graphite comes with pre-installed Hungama Music Application, which gives access to 100 free content download for 30 days, along with preinstalled Try & Buy Gameloft Games. For security, the smartphone is offered with preinstalled V-Secure that offers anti-virus, anti-theft & phone back up features and V-Safe SOS application with 90 days free trial.
Videocon Infinium Graphite is priced at Rs 10,499/-. At this price point, the phone will compete with HTC Desire 310, Nokia XL, Asus Zenfone 5, Moto G(1st and 2nd generation) and Sony Xperia M.
