Vivo S1 is a new smartphone from Vivo that has been launched in China and will also be the first device in the S series. This mid-range handset will come with a Pop-up camera following the recently launched Vivo V15. The smartphone has been launched for CNY 2298 and nothing about the Global launch or pricing is known as of now. The device comes without a notch on the front giving a screen-to-body ratio of 90.5 percent along with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 percent.
Well, the new device from Vivo would be coming with a 6.53-inch full-screen HD display and under the hood, it is powered by a Helio P70 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM. The onboard storage of the Vivo S1 is limited to 128GB which can be extended further up to 256GB via microSD card slot. For the camera, Vivo has included a 24.8MP front facing pop-up selfie camera which is claimed by the company to use a physical vapor deposition technology for capturing selfies easily.
On the rear side, the handset has a triple camera setup with a 12MP main camera sensor coupled with 8MP wide-angle camera along with a 5MP sensor. It also comes with the features like the AI Beauty mode, Portrait mode, Ultra wide angle mode and few others. The device will come out of the box with Android 9.0 Operating system with FunTouch OS 9 on top and should be getting further updates when they are available.
Notable, there is a 4000mAh battery on the handset on the rear and to enhance the security levels there is a fingerprint sensor placed on the back.
