Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo today launched a new smartphone Y55L in India. The Vivo Y55L has been priced at 11,980 in India and comes with a metal body design along with a 5.2-inch IPS display. In recent years, Vivo became a major smartphone player in the industry and comes under top 10 smartphone maker list. The smartphone runs on company’s own Android customised Funtouch OS out of the box. It will be available in India from 15 October in Gold and Space Grey colours.

Talking about the specification of Y55L it comes with a 5.2-inch HD IPS display along with resolution of 1280*720 pixels. The screen has 2.5D glass laid on top. It has octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 64-bit processor along with Adreno 505 GPU. Out of eight cores four cores clocks at 1.2GHz and other four clocks at 1.5GHz speed. It has 2GB RAM on board along with 16GB of internal storage. There is an SD card support as well of up to 128GB.
As I told you earlier, it runs on Android based Funtouch operating system. The company says that its Funtouch OS 2.6 is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Talking about the photography in this smartphone, it has an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and there is 5-megapixel fixed focus front facing shooter as well for the selfie.
On the connectivity front, Vivo Y55L is a 4G dual-SIM smartphone with VoLTE support. There is Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS support as well. It comes with the 2650mAh battery out of the box. It also has the smart split 2.0 screen feature along with unique eye protection mode. It reduces the blue light of smartphone making display comfortable to see and doesn’t cause eye strain. The dimension of the smartphone is 147.9×72.9×7.5mm and weighs around 142 grams. Vivo India recently announced their new CEO Kent Cheng. Last month company also launched a black variant of their high-end smartphone Vivo X7 in China.
