Update: The Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Special Edition Xiaomi MiNote, featuring a back cover made of bamboo. The smartphone features a 2.5D curved glass, the same metal frame surrounding it as before, and a true (natural) bamboo back cover giving a unique texture to each phone.The handset has the same specifications as the Mi Note that was announced back in January.
Xiaomi’s president and co-founder, Lei Jun informed that the Special Edition Xiaomi Mi Note will go on sale next Tuesday. Prospective customers in China can pre-order the device at the price of 2,299 Yuan ($367).

Xiaomi’s president and co-founder, Lin Bin, has just released a teaser for a new variant of the Mi Note. An image was released through Weibo that shows the new handset while giving a few details about the device.
Lin compared the Mi Note with the iPhone 6 Plus phablet, saying that their product is superior in both build quality and features. Mi Note is currently also available in a Pro version that brings 4 GB of RAM memory and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
Xiaomi has officially launched the Mi Note in China, in January. Mi Note features a 5.7-inch display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution at 386 PPI. The device is powered by Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330, with 3 GB RAM. The smartphone is just 7.1 mm thin and weighs 161 gm. The Mi Note has a full HD display with 1400:1 contrast ratio and uses a new dynamic contrast pixel adjustment technology.
We won’t know what Xiaomi has up their sleeves, but we’re excited to find out what the special edition Xiaomi Mi Note is all about.
