Xolo has launched a new smartphone, the Xolo Cube 5.0 in India. The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 7,999. The smartphone will be in Black and White colour variants.
The Cube 5.0 features a 5-inch (720×1280 pixel) IPS display with a pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M SoC, coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
On the camera front, it sports an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 8GB of built-in storage that is expandable via microSD card (32GB). Connectivity options include 3G (HSPA+), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Measuring 143x71x6.9mm, the Xolo Cube 5.0 sports a 2100mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 600 hours of standby time on 3G, 466 hours of standby time on 2G, 24 hours of talk-time on 2G, 11 hours of talk-time on 3G, 21.2 hours of music playback time, and 4.2 hours of video playback. It bears an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
Recently, Xolo Unveiled its online-only brand called Black. According to the latest reports, the company have plans to launch a new handset every quarter under Black brand that will compete against Xiaomi, Motorola and Yu.
XOLO have plans to unveil the first smartphone under the series later this month in the sub-Rs. 15,000 range. The series will have three-four devices in its portfolio at any given point in time. XOLO has partnered e-commerce major Flipkart to sell the first device in the Black range.
