The Yu Yureka’s successor which was codenamed ‘Project Caesar’, has got its name now. The smartphone will now be known as ‘Yuphoria’. The handset is expected to launch by the end of this month.
Yu ran a campaign on social media sites, asking its followers to suggest a name for the upcoming phone. Yu received more than 1,00,000 entries for the same. Five randomly selected lucky winners from the entries for name Yuphoria will win the new YU device. Participants have also won Amazon Gift Cards worth Rs.1 Lakh throughout the campaign, as told by Yu’s spokesperson.

The new smartphone would run on Cyanogen’s next version of CyanogenMod operating system called CM 12. Yuphoria is expected to feature a 64-bit processor along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage support.
