The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Zopo as announced earlier has today officially released their most anticipated smartphone called as Zopo Speed 8 at the MWC 2016 event in Barcelona. The Zopo Speed 8 is the successor of Zopo Speed 7 that launched last year, and it comes with huge upgrades over its predecessor. The Zopo Speed 8 comes with an impressive set of specifications and is also priced aggressively. The Zopo Speed 8 is priced at $300 (approx Rs. 20,560) and will go on sale globally starting April 12th.
Coming to the specifications part, the Zopo Speed 8 flaunts a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS symmetrical display with 401ppi as pixel density. Under the hood, it comes powered by all-new 64-bit MediaTek MT6797 Helio X20 deca-core with 700MHz Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It is worth noting that the Helio X20 is the world’s first deca-core SoC and the Zopo Speed 8 is the world’s first smartphone to house the all-new chipset. The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
On the photographic section, the smartphone sports a 21MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX230 sensor, PDAF for faster focus, f/2.2 aperture and is also capable of 2K video recording at 30fps. On the front, it has an 8MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash to capture stunning selfie images even in low light conditions. The device comes with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage and there is no information about the inclusion of microSD card slot for further expansion of memory.
Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS and USB Type-C port with OTG support. The smartphone sports similar design like its predecessor with a plastic back and metallic frame around it sides. The smartphone sports dual front-facing speakers on the and also houses a fingerprint sensor for enhanced security and quick one-click captures. All this is fueled by a 3600mAh battery that can also charge very quickly with Fast Charging technology. The dimensions of the handset measure 152.5 x 76.35 x 9.8 mm weighs around 136 grams and comes in Black and Silver color variants.
