ZTE launched the Blade V7 and Blade V7 Lite smartphones last month at the MWC 2016 event held in Barcelona. Today, the company has launched a new mid-range handset in its Blade series called as ZTE Blade V580 in Japan. The smartphone is the complete package of impressive specifications and premium looks all at an affordable price tag. The Blade V580 is priced at 27,800 Japanese Yen (approx $246) and is available for pre-order starting today while the sale starts from March 25th.

Talking about the specifications, the ZTE Blade V580 flaunts a 5.5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) full-HD display with 401ppi as pixel density, and Corning Gorilla Glass laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, it comes powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 2GB of RAM for lag free and seamless performance of the device. The smartphone comes with hybrid sim slot that lets you use microSD card instead of the second sim.
The device supports dual sim dual standby and comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0 port. It comes with 16GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card slot upto 32GB. On the camera section, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing snapper for video chats and stunning selfie images. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, and there is no information about the Android Marshmallow update.
The handset powers a 3000mAh battery that the company claims has the energy to last easily for an entire day of mixed usage. The Blade V580 feels premium in hand with all-metal unibody design and also includes a fingerprint sensor at the back of the unit for enhanced security. The dimensions of the smartphone measure 155.3 x 77.2 x 8.6 mm weighs around 165 grams and comes in Silver and Grey color variants. A quick recall, ZTE has recently launched a new low-end battery-focused smartphone in its Blade series called as ZTE Blade D2 in Thailand priced at $120. The smartphone features 5-inch HD display, 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P 1.3GHz quad-core SoC, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, 8MP primary camera with LED flash, 5MP selfie shooter, 4G-LTE, 4000mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
