ZTE Grand S II Launched at Rs. 13,999 in India – Details

Chinese telecommunications giant ZTE announced the Grand S II in India today. The smartphone was initially announced at CES 2014 and went on sale in China earlier in April priced at CNY 1699.ZTE Corporation recently launched three Blade series smartphones simultaneously in Jakarta to strengthen its foothold in the in Indonesia. ZTE launched Blade G, Blade G Lux and Blade Vec Pro.

ZTE Grand S II features a 5.5-inch full-HD display. Unlike the Snapdragon 801 based model announced at CES, the Indian variant will be Snapdragon 800 based alongside 2GB of RAM. The ZTE Grand S II is a single-SIM phone and runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It supports both the LTE bands (1800MHz and 2300MHz) in India.

On camera front, the ZTE Grand S II features a 13-megapixel rear camera with a LED flash, and the 5-megapixel front facing camera. The smartphone comes with 16GB inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 32G. It packs a 2500mAh battery, measures 157x77x7.9mm and weighs 120 grams.

ZTE has promised quality service and support for its Indian customers. The company has around 300 service centers across India, which it plans to expand to 600 soon. In addition, ZTE has introduced ‘Hub and Spoke’ model for customer service and these centers are now open in major cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Pune, Kolkata, and Delhi.

Grand S II is now available for purchase via Amazon at Rs. 13,999.At this price point, the smartphone will compete with Moto G(2014), Micromax Nitro, and Gionee Marathon M3.
