The Chinese smartphone maker, ZTE has been launching many smartphones in the last couple of months aiming at the low-end and mid-range segment. Earlier, we exclusively covered about ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini (NUBIA NX529J) passing through TENAA certification revealing most of the specifications and design of the smartphone. As teased earlier, the company has today officially announced a new mid-range smartphone in its Nubia series called as ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini in China. The smartphone priced at 1499 Yuan (approx $231 / Rs. 15,375) is currently available for pre-orders in China and will go on sale starting April 25th.
Coming to the specifications part, the ZTE Nubia Z11 Mini flaunts a 5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) full-HD LTPS display with 441ppi as pixel density and 2.5D arc Gorilla Glass 3 laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, the smartphone fuels Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz clubbed with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone features hybrid sim slot that lets you use microSD card instead of the second sim. It has 64GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card slot upto 200GB.
On the camera cordon, the smartphone features a 16MP rear camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera with Neo Vision 5.8 for stunning selfie images. It supports dual sim dual standby and includes standard connectivity options like 4G+, VoLTE, GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB 2.0 port. The device runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based Nubia UI 3.9.6 overlaid and will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow in near future.
The handset comes backed by a 2800mAh battery that the company claims can easily take you through the day on mixed usage and also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology. The smartphone looks stylish with glossy unibody design and metallic frame around its sides. It includes a fingerprint sensor at the back of the unit for enhanced security and also features DTS Audio technology for the terrific sound experience. The dimensions of the device measure 141.4 x 70 x 8 mm weighs around 138 grams and comes in Silver, Black and Gold color options with interchangeable back panels.
