ZTE U950 Quad Core Android ICS Mobile Phone Features Specs and Pricing

ZTE has launched the U950 Android phone and what has got stunning the world is the Tegra 3 processor for the low price tag. It was the Huawei Honor 2 which we were appreciating for the specs it has got, but not soon there’s this U950 with the 4.3-inch display and the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Within the device, there is the 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 Processor along with 1GB of RAM.

A sad part about the ZTE U950 is the 4GB of internal storage, and the expansion of the memory can reach to 32GB using MicroSD card. The U950 has a 5-megapixel rear and a VGA front camera. It is 9mm in thickness, and the phone looks sleek and quite thin. The first wave of 100,000 ZTE U950s will be made available on November 11 priced at 999 yuan (£99), and there is no confirmation whether there would be any price change after the first batch is sold, or else it would be maintained the same for the next batch too.

The battery of 2000 mAh again won’t be totally enough to hold the specs, but we won’t be expecting more with the price tag the U950 is coming in with. The device supports supports LAN IEEE 802.11 b / g / n and Bluetooth 3.0 wireless also (2.4GHz).

The specifications of the ZTE U950 include:

  • Dimensions: 128.5 × 67.0 × 9.9 mm
  • Google Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich Version
  • NVIDIA Tegra 3 Processor, with 1.5 GHz speed
  • 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen with 800 x 480 pixels screen resolution
  • 5MP rear camera with 1080p video recording, with LED flash
  • Front VGA camera for video chat
  • Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b / g / n (2.4GHz)
  • 2000 mAh Li-ion battery

The release date of the ZTE U950 is November 11th, 2012 and ZTE has interestingly set the time for launch as 11:11 a.m. The price in China would be 999 yuan, and there is no expectation for the release of it in the UK market, as is the trend with the entry level phones to get unnoticed in the bigger markets, and it would always be the Chinese markets seeing the releases of the Huawei and ZTE phones. The phones would be available for pre-order from October 31st 2012.
