ZTE has officially launched the two affordable smartphones on AT&T and Cricket – the Maven and Sonata 2.
The ZTE Maven comes with a 4.5” Display with a 480 x 854 resolution (215 PPI). It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC, it’s a 64-bit handset coupled with 1GB of RAM.
It features 5 MP rear camera and a 0.3 MP front camera. The device runs on 5.1 lollipop out of the box. The other specs include 8GB of storage, a microSD slot, 4G LTE connectivity, and a 2100mAh non-removable battery. It will be available in AT&T stores, or the att.com website. It will cost $59.99 off-contract.
The ZTE Sonata 2 sports a 4” screen with a 480 x 800 resolution (229 PPI). It is powered by a Snapdragon 200 CPU coupled with 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with 4 GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD up to 32 GB. On the camera front, the Sonata 2 features a 5 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera. The ZTE Sonata 2 is available from Cricket Wireless starting today for $29.99.
Recently, ZTE has announced a new line of high-end smartphones dubbed ‘Axon’. The company already has its ‘Nubia’ sub-brand that includes the company’s high-end smartphones. The ‘Axon’ sub-brand for now is said to reach the US region first. While not all the specifications of the handset are known, ZTE has put up a teaser page of the smartphone revealing some details. he Axon is rumoured to sports 4GB of RAM, which makes it one of the select few handsets in the markets to bear such a large amount of memory.
