Alcatel Flash Plus 2 with Helio P10 SoC & 13MP Camera Spotted on GFXBench

The France-based smartphone manufacturer, Alcatel at the MWC 2016 event announced the withdrawing of its OneTouch branding and now called as Alcatel. The company has been in the rumors about the launch of a high-end smartphone called as Alcatel Idol Pro 4 that will be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC. Today, a new mid-range smartphone from the brand has popped up on GFXBench listing called as Alcatel Flash Plus 2 revealing the most important specifications. The Flash Plus 2 is the successor of Alcatel Flash Plus that launched last year.

As per the GFXBench listing, the Alcatel Flash Plus 2 will flaunt a 4.6-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD display and is expected to come equipped with 64-bit MediaTek MT6755BM Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with ARM Mali-T860 GPU. It will come with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion of memory. It will support dual sim dual standby and runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

On the camera front, the device is expected to feature a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie lovers. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G-LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB port. Apart from this, no other information about the upcoming smartphone is revealed. Although there is no official word from the company, the Alcatel Flash Plus 2 with these specifications looks quite impressive on paper. To recall, Alcatel at the MWC 2016 event in Barcelona announced two new high-end smartphones in its Idol series called as Alcatel Idol 4 and Idol 4s. Both the smartphones feature premium looks with a glossy unibody design, in-mold spin effect texture and metal frame around its sides. The Idol 4 features 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 617 octa-core SoC, 3GB RAM, 13MP camera and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. On the other hand, the Idol 4s comes with a 5.5-inch 2K AMOLED display, Snapdragon 652 octa-core SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB storage, 16MP primary camera, 3000mAh battery and also runs on Android Marshmallow.
