The domestic smartphone maker, Lava is known for launching affordable smartphones with its primary target towards the low-end market. The brand has recently launched a new dirt cheap smartphone in its Iris Fuel series called as Lava Iris Fuel F2 in India. The smartphone is the successor of the Lava Iris Fuel F1 that launched in October last year, but looking at the specifications, it seems like the downgraded variant of the Iris Fuel F1. The smartphone priced at Rs. 4,444 is currently available for purchase online exclusively via eBay.in and will soon go on sale in the country via leading offline platforms.
Talking about the specifications, the Iris Fuel F2 flaunts the same 5-inch (854×480 pixels) FWVGA display with 196ppi as pixel density as earlier seen in the Iris Fuel F1. Under the hood, it packs unspecified 1.3GHz quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with 512MB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage and also includes a microSD card option for further expansion upto 32GB. The earlier launched Fuel F1 comes with a larger 2GB of RAM and similar storage options.
Regarding the camera, the smartphone sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera for video chats and selfie lovers when compared to the Fuel F1 that features an 8MP primary and 2MP secondary cameras. It supports dual sim dual standby and comes with basic connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based company’s customized UI out of the box.
The main USP of the handset is it fuels a 3000mAh battery that the company claims has the energy to deliver upto 15.5 hours of talk time and upto 300 hours of standby time. The Fuel F2 packs a smaller battery capacity when compared to the Fuel F1 that boasts a 4000mAh battery. The dimensions of the device measure 142.5 x 72.5 x 10.5 mm and comes in Black and White color variants.
To recap, Lava has recently launched a budget-friendly 4G-LTE enabled smartphone called as Lava X11 priced at Rs. 7,999 and is available for purchase via all the leading online and offline platforms across the country. The smartphone features a glossy unibody design, 5-inch HD display, 2GB RAM, 8MP primary camera, 4G-LTE and 2500mAh battery. Along with the X11, the brand has also launched two other entry-level smartphones called as Lava A88 & A71 priced at Rs. 5,499 and Rs. 6,499 respectively.
