The domestic smartphone maker, Lava has been launching impressive smartphones in the entry-level segment in the recent times. Today, the company has launched yet another low-end device called as Lava P7 in India. The smartphone comes with Google India keyboard that offers 12 regional languages and also supports custom gestures and smart wake-up features for easy access. The device is priced at Rs. 5,499 and will be available for purchase in Black, Blue and Gold color variants via all the online and offline platforms across the country.
Coming to the specifications part, the Lava P7 comes with a 5-inch (854×480 pixels) FWVGA display with 218ppi as pixel density and packs MediaTek quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with Mali-400 GPU. The device supports dual sim dual standby and includes essential connectivity options like 2G/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box and will be upgradable to latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow in future.
On the photographic section, the smartphone sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front snapper for selfie clicks. Interestingly, it also features front-facing LED flash and is sure to attract selfie lovers. The device comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion upto 32GB. The handset comes backed by a 2000mAh battery that is rated to deliver upto 6 hours of talk time and can last upto 230 hours of standby time. The only downside of the device is it lacks the 4G-LTE support that is offered in most of the smartphones these days.
To recap, Lava has recently launched an entry-level tablet under its Ivory series called as Lava Ivory M4 in India priced at Rs. 9,299. The tablet features 8-inch HD IPS 16:10 display, MediaTek 8321 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of inbuilt storage, 8MP primary camera, 3.2MP front shooter, voice calling support, 4000mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
