Procedure to update Samsung Galaxy SL I9003 with Gingerbread XXKPE 2.3.4:
- So, before we proceed for the instructions on how to update, you will have to download Gingerbread XXKPE 2.3.4 Zip Package from your computer and as soon as its downloaded you will have to unzip the same.
- To unzip the same, you will have to right click on the downloaded file and need to select the option of “Extract Files” and then you need to give a path to desktop so that all files will be extracted to the desktop.

Please note that in the due course of the unzipping process it will prompt you to enter the password and at this stage enter the password as “androidadvices.com” without the inverted comas.
- Even if single file is missing then you will have to download the zip file again. Now after this you need to Open the Odin in your computer after which you need to turn off the phone so as to power on the device in the Download Mode.
- To turn ON the phone in the download mode, you will have to first turn off the phone and then hold the Volume Down button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, you need to switch ON your device. Now, if you have successfully entered into the download mode then you will see a green screen which is shown below. Please note that if the device boots in the normal mode with the home screen then retry the process and if despite retrying you are unable to get into download mode then you will have to fix the download mode error for your phone. For added convenience we have also done a short video wherein you can see on how to enter into the download mode.
- Now, after this with the help of the USB cable you need to connect the phone with the computer. Now as soon as you connect the same you will see that the ID : COM block will turn yellow as shown in the below screen shot and also will be shown as “ADDED” in the message space which means that you are all select to select the files.
