Update: Good news for Yu Yureka owners: the lollipop update begins to roll out today. Yu will roll the update in phases over the next 3 days. YU Yureka and Cyanogen together were supposed to roll out the CM12S firmware upgrade to Yureka users in the first week of April, but the rollout was delayed.
Cyanogen OS 12 update will bring with it fresh tweaks to the open source version of Android, such as its built-in email app from Boxer, Exchange support, multiple account integration and other features taken from the community version of Cyanogen.
Users of YU Yureka can check their smartphones for CM12S/Android Lollipop OS update via OTA, and let us know regarding the rollout status for their devices.

According to a latest a report, YU Yureka smartphones users are expected to get a Lollipop update in the first week of April. Earlier this month, the company (via Facebook) had posted a Dot-to-Dot puzzle, hinting the Yureka will soon be getting the Lollipop OS update.
A YU’s support team member has been quoted in an email saying that the Lollipop update for the Yureka can be expected in the first week of April. Last week, YU via Twitter has confirmed that the Lollipop update release has been delayed for further testing.

Micromax has just launched the first Micromax Yu Indian Exclusive Cyanogen Smartphone “Yureka” today.
The smartphone features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has a 13MP rear camera and 5 MP front-facing camera. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor.
The smartphone comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage with expansion slot.
It runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat, and a 2500mAh battery that gives 25% higher performance in its class as claimed by Micromax.The smartphone will get OTA updates every month.
YUREKA smartphone is priced at Rs 8,999/- & will be exclusively available on Amazon. Registration starts from 2PM tomorow.
Earlier ;Seems like One Plus One will have a huge set back in India. After running into legal issues, Micromax is all set to unveil the latest smartphone dubbed as “Yu” which comes with the different branding and comes with the halo design of Cyanogen Mod. Just in case if you missed, “YU” is the newly launched mobile brand which is a fully owned subsidiary of Micromax and is currently testing its waters by launching Internet only medium for selling smartphones. While this device seems like a complete replica of Coolpad F2 Android device with 5.5 inches of screen size, we need to check on what are the complete specs and features of this new phone.
This new initiative of Micromax is the first ever initiative by an Indian company and we hope to see more companies doing the same.
