we have mentioned the article, you can share the comments!
does rooting avoid warranty
yes it voids warranty!@
Its posible to unroot the device later? Is there any form?
Sorry for bad english.
yes, to unroot you need to apply the firmware update once again!
what do you mean the “firmware updating”?
do you mean using the samsung official updating software “Kies” to do firmware updating?
so i need to wait for the latest official firmware, and use Kies to update firmware and meanwhile unroot?
Sorry for bad english.
firmware updating means that the bugs which are currently there in your phone are fixed in the successive versions in the form of firmware updates!
Will this method work for all kernel versions??
yes stanly it should work, though we didn’t check in all of the kernels!
Hello,
My phone does not want to do anything when i do this : Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button
and noly have super user, don’t have CWM.
you can download ROM MANAGER APP FROM THE ANDROID MARKET!
press center button and then press power button!
Hi,
Androit Market does not work with my galaxy R, it crashes at the open. Have you a solution ?
In China Android Market doesnt work!
“The recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button as shown in the below video.”
It doesn’t always work that way. For those of you who cannot enter rm that way I recommend an alternative solution:
1) Turn off your mobile.
2) Press Power button until you see the splash logo.
3) Once you see the splash release Power and press Volume Up + Home button. You should immediately see the tiny little white text on the top of the screen (it can hardly be noticed) – “booting android recovery”
4) Once you see the text, just stop pressing two buttons and let it go. You’re now in recovery mode.
thanks kouchan for your comment!
its not happening after getting booting android recovery text nothing is happening …the splash screen remains as it is.
thanks alot dear, i couldnt enter to The recovery mode by pressing Volume UP Key + OK button so tried the second trick
it worked
thanks alot

Hi, I am new to Android devices. I previously had iPhone 3GS JB. Now, coming to the world of Android with this device Galaxy R I9103, which I got a week back in India. Definitely the world becomes amazing with rooting/JB with the tweaks that you can have with rooted devices.
I am looking to root my device. What I would like to know is:
1. Apart from the steps to root and backing up the data before rooting, do I need to backup the stock kernel or ROM if at all its needed if there is anything goes bad in the warranty period. If I need to back them up too (so I can restore to claim the warranty), how do I do the same before rooting the device?
2. I came across few things like when you root and install firmwares/ROM’s there are counters which increments when you flash the firmwares. Is there anyway to reset the same?
3. Also, I came across the triangle which one would see after the firmware is flashed. I guess the steps mentioned above would take care of the same? and one wouldn’t see the Triangle.
As I told you, I am pretty new to Android, so I am not sure if my understanding is correct, please let me know above things.
Thanks in advance.
