ZTE Voyage 3 with 4080mAh battery & 8MP Camera Launched in China

With the market for budget smartphones increasing many smartphone makers are trying to focus more on the affordable segment these days. Recently, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, ZTE has launched a new battery focused entry-level device called as ZTE Voyage 3 in China. The Voyage 3 is the successor of Voyage 2 that launched earlier this year, and it comes with few upgraded specifications.

Talking about its specifications, the ZTE Voyage 3 flaunts a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display offering 294ppi as pixel density. Under the hood, it comes powered by MediaTek MT6735P quad-core processor clocked at 1.0GHz coupled with Mali T720 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The device comes with 8GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card slot upto 32GB.

On the camera cordon, the smartphone sports an 8MP rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and a 5MP front-facing snapper with a built-in photo sensor for video chats and selfie images.The device supports dual sim dual standby and includes standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port 2.0 with OTG functionality.

The main USP of the smartphone is the massive 4080mAh battery it packs that is rated to deliver upto 6 days of mixed usage and last upto 355 days in standby mode. The smartphone can also be used to charge other devices as it supports reverse charging. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based customized UI out of the box. The dimensions of the handset measure 145 x 71.8 x 8.4 mm and weighs around 150 grams. The ZTE Voyage 3 is one of the most affordable smartphones offering such a huge battery as it costs just 799 Yuan (approx $123).

To recap, ZTE has recently launched a premium smartphone in its Axon series called as ZTE Axon Max in China priced at 2,999 Yuan ($460). The Axon Max features 6-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 617 octa-core SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, 16MP rear camera, 13MP front snapper and 4140mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support. The device comes with other interesting features like fingerprint sensor, voiceprint recognition, Hi-Fi audio technology and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
