The Taiwanese smartphone maker, Acer launched the entry-level Acer Liquid Zest along with the Liquid Zest 4G and Liquid Jade 2 smartphones at the MWC 2016 event in Barcelona. Today, the company has officially launched a new battery-focused smartphone that is the enhanced variant of the Liquid Zest called as Acer Liquid Zest Plus. Apart from the massive battery, the smartphone also comes with decent specifications targeting at the mid-range category users. The Acer Liquid Zest Plus is priced at $250 (roughly Rs. 16,620) and will go on sale in the Asian markets soon.

In terms of specifications, the smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with Zero Air Gap technology and 267ppi as pixel density. Under the hood, the smartphone packs 64-bit Mediatek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz clubbed with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM for smooth performance. It has 16GB of onboard storage and can be further expanded using an externalSD card slot. The device supports dual sim dual standby and runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It comes with standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG support.
On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie lovers. The camera of the device also comes with laser autofocus, PDAF and contrast detection which the company has named as tri-focus technology. The main USP of the device is it powers a gigantic 5000mAh battery that is rated to last easily for a couple of days on a single charge and also supports fast charging technology. The Acer Liquid Zest Plus also features DTS-HD Audio technology and will be available in Pure White and Metallic Blue color variants.
