Acer’s new Android smartphone, S59 has been recently spotted at GFXBench. According to the benchmarks, the S59 will be Acer’s first smartphone to ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. It’s still unclear when Acer will launch the S59.
The smartphone will feature a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 with the pixel density of 294 ppi. It is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 SoC with an octa-core 1.3GHz CPU and the Mali-T720 GPU.
The Acer S59 features 2GB of RAM inside, along with 16GB of native storage. Both the rear and front-facing cameras weigh in at 13MP and both will take videos in 4K resolution. The unit offers support for 4G LTE (Cat 4), NFC, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.
Acer had announced the Liquid X2 smartphone, few months. It features 4000mAH battery and three SIM card slots. Acer Liquid X2 has a 5.5-inch display and powered by 64-bit octa-core processor. It has a 13-megapixel camera on the front and back of the handset. The new phone also comes with plenty of Acer’s own software, designed to improve on Android.
