Today, two new unannounced smartphones from Alcatel in its Idol series called as Alcatel Idol 4 and Idol 4S have leaked on the company’s own support site revealing most of the specifications of the devices. However, the listing was later removed by the company, and it seems like the Alcatel is all set to announce the next-gen Idol series smartphones in the upcoming MWC 2016 at Barcelona later this month.

Alcatel Idol 4S
The Idol 4S will be the flagship smartphone from the company and also features powerful specifications. The smartphone features 5.5-inch (1440×2560 pixels) QHD 2K AMOLED display with 180-degree wide angle and offering 534ppi as pixel density. Under the hood, it packs all-new 64-bit Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The device supports dual sim dual standby and runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It comes with connectivity options like 4G-LTE/3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, VoLTE, and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG support.
The smartphone comes with 32GB of built-in storage and with 512GB of expandable storage via microSD card support you will run out of memory. On the camera cordon, the device sports a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, EIS, Video Stabilization and can also record slow-motion videos. On the front, it has an 8MP shooter with real-time face beautification and flash to capture stunning selfie images. The handset comes backed by a 3000mAh battery and will also support Quick Charging technology. The dimensions of the device measure 153.9 x 75.4 x 6.99 mm and weighs 149 grams.
Alcatel Idol 4
The Idol 4 is the mid-range smartphone and will be launched in the market targeting the budget users. The smartphone features a 5.2-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS OGS full lamination display with pixel density of 424ppi. The smartphone comes equipped with 64-bit Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz clubbed with 2GB/3GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage and microSD card slot for further expansion upto 512GB. The device supports dual sim dual standby and has standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and a microUSB 2.0 port with OTG.
On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera with 84-degree wide angle and front flash for crazy selfie lovers. The handset packs a 2610mAh battery with Quick Charge support and runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
