The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer has entered into the low-end category by launching the ZenFone Go 4.5 smartphone in India priced at Rs. 5,299. Today, the brand has launched yet another non-Zenfone series entry-level handset called as Asus Live in Brazil. The plastic build device is priced at $210 (roughly Rs. 14,000) and comes with decent specifications.
Regarding specs, the Asus Live features a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood, it packs MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
The device comes with 16GB of built-in storage and is further expandable to 64GB using a microSD card slot. On the camera front, the smartphone sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front snapper for video chats and selfie lovers. It comes with basic connectivity options like 2G/3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG support. The major downside of the smartphone is it lacks 4G-LTE connectivity that is offered by most of the devices these days.
The handset comes backed by a 2070mAh battery that might be enough to last for the entire day considering the low-end specifications. The dimensions of the device measure 144.5 x 71 x 9.98 mm weighs around 140 grams and comes in colors- Blue, Red, and Yellow.
