Asus launched the affordable Zenfone Go smartphone in India back in September priced at Rs. 7,999. Today, the company has launched the smaller variant of the Zenfone Go called as Asus Zenfone Go 4.5 with entry-level specifications in India. The device is priced at Rs. 5,299 and is available for purchase exclusively online via Flipkart and also comes with discount upto Rs. 2000 on the exchange.
Announcing the availability for ZenFone Go, Mr. Peter Chang, Regional Head – South Asia & Country Manager – System Business Group – ASUS India, said, “ZenFone Go wraps up an extremely successful year for us in India. We are elated to see the response that we received through the year for our ZenFone range of smartphones and are sure that our offering for the budget segment packed with features at an affordable price, will be appreciated by our users as well.”
Talking about its specifications, the Zenfone Go 4.5 as the name indicates features a 4.5-inch (854×480 pixels) FWVGA display with the pixel of 220ppi. The smartphone comes powered by same MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with Mali 400MP2 GPU as earlier seen on the Zenfone Go. The device has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage and can also be further expanded to 64GB using a microSD card slot.
On the photographic section, the smartphone features a 5MP primary camera with autofocus, LED flash and a VGA front-facing shooter for video chats and selfie clicks. It supports dual sim dual standby and comes with basic connectivity options like 2G/3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port 2.0. Like the earlier launched Zenfone Go, this device also lacks 4G-LTE connectivity.
The handset comes backed by a 1600mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based ZenUI 2.0 out of the box. The dimensions of the device measure 135 x 67 x 10.1 mm weighs around 133.5 grams and is currently available in Black color option. The Asus Zenfone Go 4.5 will have to face tough competition against the likes of other entry-level devices from domestic smartphone manufacturers like Intex, Micromax and Lava among others.
