The update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, but those who own these smartphones can also download it manually from Asus’ official website. Asus has also stated that Android 5.0 Lollipop does not support some pre-installed applications. So, once you upgrade to this version of Android, the following apps will be removed from your Zenfone smartphone: Battery widget, PhotoFrame widget, Movie Studio, Cloud Print, CMClient, and Magic Smoke Wallpapers.
Another thing that you should be aware is the fact that this upgrade is likely to cause some problems to Asus Contacts widget. According to Asus, those who upgrade will see that the Asus Contacts widget will always show as “loading” on the home screen. In order to fix this issue you will have to remove the old 4 x 1 Asus Contacts widget and re-add it.
