BenQ a Taiwan based company known for electronics products has come up an Android tablet to make their entry into world of Droids. Until now they didn’t have a single smartphone or tablet in their product line but BenQ is certainly making its way in to the paradise of big competition and hope to gain some popularity again.
BenQ R 71 Android Tablet
BenQ R71 is a 7 inches Android tablet powered with WSVGA liquid crystal display screen providing a maximum resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. This comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and BenQ during the announcement confirmed that it schedule for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update in the coming few months, yet disclosed the exact date for the Android ICS arrival.
This tablet is powered with Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and comes with supported ARM Mali 400 GPU to provide graphical acceleration and comes with 1 GB of RAM. The tablet has 16 GB of inbuilt storage capacity and further adds a micro SD card slot which can support 32 GB of maximum memory so which makes maximum of 48 GB in total.
The specifications doesn’t just end there as it comes with a 3 mega pixel camera on the front side and the communication for internet access is possible via Wi Fi along with Wi Fi tethering option. The battery is with 3,000 mAh and we find it just little too low.
BenQ was available to comment on the tablet price and its will be sold at a retail price of 1,499 yuan. As of now this would be available in China only and there is no confirmation from BenQ whether this would be available worldwide.
