Redmi 2 4G LTE Android smartphone is the latest smartphone from Xiaomi, which comes with the great specs along with the budget pricing. The device is the successor to Redmi 1s.
This new smartphone from XiaoMi comes with the stylish looks and the powerful specs. This device will give serious competition to Lenovo A6000, Moto E 2nd Gen. smartphones. Let us now compare the two smartphones in terms of their hardware as well as software performance:
Both the devices come with the 4.7 inches of screen size along with the IPS display and 1280 x 720p display with 312 PPI pixel density.
The Redmi 2 is powered with 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor, and houses the Adreno 305 GPU with 1GB RAM whereas the Redmi 1S is powered by Snapdragon 400 processor clocking at 1.6 GHz coupled with 1 GB of RAM and the same Adreno 305 GPU.
Both the devices feature 8GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
With 8MP of rear facing camera at the back with LED Flash and 1080p video recording capability, Redmi 2 also comes with the 2MP of front facing camera. Redmi 1s features a 8 mp rear camera and 1.6 MP front-facing camera.
Redmi 2 supports LTE (TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE) networks whereas the Redmi 1s is a 3G enabled phone and does not support 4G. The rest of the connectivity options remain the same — WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 3.5mm headset audio jack,
Redmi 2 runs on the latest MIUI 6 ROM based on 4.4 KitKat whereas the Redmi 1S runs on MIUI 5 ROM based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The Redmi 2 comes with a battery life of 2,200mAh, in comparison to the 2,000mAh battery powering the Redmi 1s.
