Jellybean 4.2 LogoIf you have an Android smartphone and are wondering the way out on how you can install the Default applications of Jellybean 4.2 then you will be glad to know that you can now install all the apps of Jellybean 4.2 firmware without needing to wait. In a nutshell, you can install all the Google Apps of Jellybean 4.2.2 firmware easily. The only condition for installing these apps is rooting. If your device is rooted and is installed with the Custom ROM firmware then you can make use of the detailed guide which we will be telling you. This new suite of Google Apps comes with Pinch to Zoom and swipe to Delete or Archive option in Gmail.

This zip package has been tested on CM10 and AOSP Jelly bean 4.1/4.1.2 firmware. This Jellybean 4.2 Zip package includes native clock from the Jellybean 4.2, new Gmail app, new Google Music app, new launcher, new Jellybean 4.2 keyboard, 4.2 Jellybean camera, ringtones, boot animation and Jellybean 4.2 stock fonts.

Before we proceed, you will have to make sure that you download the “Root Checker” app from the Google PLAY Store for checking the same on whether the device is rooted or not. Though there is no requirement to back up the data, its recommended to create a backup of all your data with the help of PC Suites or with the below mentioned manual methods as just in case if you get any force close errors, you can restore the data.

Procedure to Install Jellybean 4.2.2 Apps in your Android Phone:

  • From the path “Settings > Development Options” you will have to enable the USB Debugging in your device and also ensure that the minimum battery left in your device is around 40%.
  • Download ROM Manager app from the PLAY Store so that you can then enter your device in the recovery mode from this app. You can also enter the device in the recovery mode manually with the help of button combos if you are aware of the same.
  • Up next, in recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” to select the Jellybean 4.2 Apps Package which you have earlier placed in your device. Once the zip file is selected, it will take around 3 -4 minutes for updating with the same. Please note that it may take longer time in some cases for booting the device.
