Yesterday, we exclusively spoke about the next-gen Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) surfaced on GFXBenchh listing. Today, the successor and second generation of the Samsung Galaxy J7 has appeared on GFXBench listing revealing the key specifications of the device. The smartphone spotted on Benchmarking site comes with model number SM-J710x and is supposed to be called as Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016). The smartphone looks like a huge upgrade over its predecessor and will be placed in the mid-range category.
As per the listing, the Galaxy J7 (2016) will feature a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD display while the earlier launched Galaxy J7 came with a 5.5-inch HD display. The device will come powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The new smartphone has double amount of RAM when compared to its predecessor that came with just 1.5GB of RAM. It will have 16GB of native storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion.
The device will sport a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie lovers. These are the same set of cameras that were earlier seen on the Galaxy J7. It supports dual sim dual standby and includes connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, NFC and microUSB 2.0 port. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, and there is no information about the battery capacity of the smartphone.
