Gionee has announced the Gionee Pioneer P2S for a price of Rs. 6499 in India. This is an entry level device and will be coming with a slim and Stylish design. Gionee has released many good Smart phones in the recent past, like the Gionee Elife E7 as well as its mini version also known for making the world’s slimmest phone called the Gionee S5.5.
The Gionee Pioneer P2S has a 4 inch WVGA display with 800 x 480 pixels resolutions and will run Android 4.2.2 with Amigo User Interface (UI). The handset is powered by unnamed dual core processor clocking at 1.3 GHz accompanied with 512 MB of RAM and Mali 400 MP GPU. At the back of the device there is a 1600 mAh battery to power the device. The device supports dual SIM with dual standby as most of the customers like to use two SIM’s.
The Gionee Pioneer P2S has a MP rear facing auto focus camera accompanied with a VGA front facing camera. The device has a V-gesture shot feature that lets you take selfies without even having to touch the phone. The on-board memory of the device is at 4 GB, out of which only 1.19 GB is user available and it can be extended via microSD card slot. The connectivity of the device includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and will have the normal 3.5 head set jack at the top and USB slot at the bottom. The device is 9.3 mm thick and weighs 124 grams.
The Gionee Pioneer P2S is definitely an improvement over the Gionee Pioneer P2 that was released last year and this device will be coming in to the market competing against many other Indian Smartphones like Lava Iris X1, Micromax Unite 2, Lava 3G 415, Spice Stellar, Micromax Canvas Engage A091 and Motorola Moto E.
This device will be available in Black, White, Blue, Yellow and Red colour variants and is currently priced at Rs. 6,499.
