Earlier:
Motorola confirmed last week that it was announcing a budget Android powered Smartphone quoted as “priced for all” on 13th of May in London. This low priced device named as the Motorola Moto E is being confirmed from one of the shipments that are sent to India and this shipment is carrying over thousand handsets and being mentioned as Motorola Moto E White.
This device is priced at Rs. 6,330 and can be expected to be lowered after its launch that is going to be held within a week’s time. This device is made considering the budget minded people and should be offering a good deal to all those who are looking a quality product from a well known brand. I am pretty much excited to see this device coming in to market and should wait and see how this device will be turning up.
Earlier – Motorola rumored to Launch a budget Android Phone in May (might be Moto E) – Details – April 19th, 2014
Motorola has made some excellent news after getting acquired, and that was especially in the Indian market as the Moto X, which was available initially for more than $600 in the US, became available in India for around Rs. 23000 recently. Now the rumors talk about a new smartphone in the making, and this according to the rumors, is going to be a budget device. Considering the way consumers responded to the Moto G in India, the next one for sure would make a bigger impact, should Motorola consider launching it in the local markets and not stick with only Flipkart which they used to sell the Moto G.
Although the name is not known, it is expected to be called the Moto E and there was a specs sheet leaked by a brazilian website Tecnoblog, which showed a few basic specs of the device. According to that sheet, the upcoming smartphone has a 4.3-inch display (the resolution is not known), and it could be coming with a dual-core chipset clocking at 1.2 GHz. There is a 1GB RAM support, and the internatl storage of the device would be 4GB. Camera wise, the smartphone is going to come with a 5MP rear shooter.
Something really interesting noted about the smartphone is that it might be coming with the thickness of just 6.2mm, which would be pretty good although the battery capacity of 1900 mAh is said to be included within this thin package. The phone would be running Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
It might be coming in several variants, one of it being a Dual-SIM one, and the actual variant division would be based on the storage. The connectivity options included are 2G and 3G connectivity. There is Digital TV support too mentioned in the information, and the expected time for its launch is said to be May 2014. We’ll be updating when we learn more about it.
