How to use Dual Window on the LG G4: Guide

The LG G4 is packed with useful features, including Dual Window. Dual Window allows you to run two applications side-by-side.You can easily and quickly resize them as you see fit, making one bigger than the other when needed.

It’s a useful feature that essentially lets you do two things at once. This is extremely useful for power users and those wanting to use all that 5.5-inch screen for multitasking.

Steps to use Dual Window on the LG G4

  1. Go to the Settings app

  2. Under “General” scroll down until you see “Dual Window”.

  3. Switch the on-screen toggle to “on”
  4. Now, tap on the square button that is the “recent apps” or multitasking button. Once you tap on the square and see all your recent apps the bottom right is a button that says “Dual Window”, select it.
  5. Once selected you’ll see a window pop-up with arrows pointing up or down, instructing you to long press and drag the icon of the app of choice to the top or bottom of the screen.

  6. Now slide one app to the top and another app to the bottom. Now both apps will run at the same time

  7. Once you’ve chosen your apps and entered the Dual Window mode, you can now play with the available options. If you turn the device into the landscape, the apps will follow. You can also resize the boxes to whatever size you want them to be. To use an individual app you need to press on the window beforehand; so if you wish to navigate on the YouTube app you need to tap on it and it’ll appear with a blue box around it. You can also use this to resize it.
